NTD Program Representatives from Countries Supported by USAID’s NTD Initiative Present at the Global Health Council
The Global Health Council hosted an NTD Roundtable event on August 19, 2009, in Washington, D.C., where the USAID-supported NTD Control Program and NTD Program Representatives from Haiti, Sierra Leone, and Uganda presented major accomplishments in NTD control in their countries. The tremendous country level results in NTD control presented demonstrate the significant impact the U.S. Government's support for NTDs is making in the world's most affected countries.

Third Meeting of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on NTDs – 04/16/09
The third meeting of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group (STAG) on NTDs took place at World Health Organization (WHO) Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, April 16-17, 2009.
The STAG is the principal advisory group to the WHO for the control of NTDs.

2008 Stakeholders Meeting on the NTD Initiative – 10/20/08-10/21/08
In preparation for implementation of the Initiative, USAID convened a key stakeholders meeting on October 20-21, 2008 in Washington D.C. The meeting was co-hosted by USAID, the World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Participants included representatives from U.S. Government agencies, Ministries of Health of disease endemic countries, pharmaceutical partners, the NTD scientific community, NGO implementation partners, and other donor partners.
