Webinar: Launch of the WHO guideline on control and elimination of human schistosomiasis
Topic: This webinar, hosted by WHO, launched a new guideline for schistosomiasis. The guideline provides evidence-based recommendations to support countries in morbidity control and elimination of the disease as a public health problem, and to move towards interruption of transmission. This is the first WHO guidance on the evaluation of interruption of schistosomiasis transmission.

Webinar - Fresh Takes: A conversation with stakeholders about doing business differently to secure sustainable NTD programs (French)
Topic: A major focus of the next decade and beyond is ensuring sustainable national NTD programs. The success of the World Health Organization (WHO) ten year strategy or “Road Map” for NTDs depends on effective, sustainable implementation of interventions to control and eliminate disease. To further unpack the key concepts of the Road Map and the Sustainability Framework, USAID hosted a conversation on the roles of the NTD community in supporting progress towards sustainable national NTD programs. This virtual event featured voices from NTD-endemic countries and various partners to unpack real examples and reflect on how current practices need to change in order to align with the vision of sustainable country-led programs.

WHO-USAID Webinar: A sustainability framework for action against neglected tropical diseases 2021-2030
Topic: Panelists from several countries and institutions participated in the discussion which focused on various aspects of the ‘sustainability framework’, a companion documents to the road map. The framework, "Ending the neglect to attain the sustainable development goals: a sustainability framework for action against neglected tropical diseases 2021-2030," aims to embed sustainability considerations into national health policies, strategies and plans. This virtual event featured presentations and panels from experts representing a broad range of stakeholders from the NTD community.
