Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024.

USAID’s Administrator Samantha Power penned an op-ed in the New York Times looking at his legacy elevating human rights in U.S. foreign policy. She also shared his commitment to ending neglected tropical diseases like Guinea worm and river blindness.
