Technical Director of the CSCOM (Health Center) of Lafiabougou, Region of Kayes
Dr. Oumar Dao is the Technical Director of the CSCOM (health center) of Lafiabougou, located in the region of Kayes in southwestern Mali. Dr. Dao has spent many years working on mass treatment campaigns to prevent NTDs in Mali. Once social mobilization campaigns begin, Dr. Dao finds that the communities living within his CSCOM area are very responsive. Community members approach him immediately for more information about the campaign and to ask when the drugs will be available. Leading the organization of the campaigns, ensuring that every eligible person in the community is treated in the appropriate timeframe, and overseeing data quality during the campaign is a tremendous amount of work, and it is Dr. Dao who is at the forefront, making things happen.
