Reaching the Last Mile – Mobilizing together to eliminate infectious diseases.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, launched the Reaching the Last Mile Fund to raise $100 million with the aim of supporting the elimination of river blindness (onchocerciasis) and lymphatic filariasis.
USAID looks forward to collaborating with the newly launched Fund to advance the elimination agenda, coordinating and co-investing in countries where USAID is currently providing support.
