Female Community Health Volunteer (FCHV), Village of Sajha Bazar
In the district of Kailali, Ms. Apsara Khati has worked as a Female Community Health Volunteer (FCHV) since 2005. She is a 28-year-old farmer and mother in the village of Sajha Bazar. In addition to her regular household work, Apsara is also actively involved in all community level public health programs.
Apsara Khati was first introduced to the LF MDA program by a local mothers group and she has since been motivated to serve her community as a health volunteer.
She hopes that through her work with the LF MDA, there will be no more transmission of LF in the community and all community people will be healthy and free from elephantiasi
