Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a group of preventable and treatable diseases that place an everyday burden on the poorest, most marginalized and most remote communities in the world.
Five years ago, leaders from diverse sectors came together and committed to bring an end to these diseases. The declaration this group signed, known as the London Declaration, is a leading example of how partnerships can create historic progress. Today, we are closer than ever to a world without NTDs. Fewer people are suffering from these diseases than ever before and many countries are eliminating them entirely.
